Neste dia dos avós, Isabel Stilwell aconselha todos os avós a gozarem o dia com os netos sem remorsos de pedirem aquilo que gostavam de fazer com os netos. "Não pense hoje nos netos, pense no que quer para si, no que quer que eles façam consigo", aconselha.
Isabel Stilwell considera que os netos são o maior "antienvelhecimento" e deixa outro conselho aos avós: "não entre naquela de medir o amor deles por si, lembraram-se, não se lembraram, deram-me um presente, não deram", recomenda a autora.
"Não é hoje que vai medir o afeto, isso é uma maratona, tire é o prazer de ter a sorte de ser avó num país com uma taxa de natalidade baixa."
